Little bit of shopping...

Hello :-) yesterday I was in town and I've been looking for a new bronzer so I thought I'd go for something different and had a look at the Clarins counter, to cut a long story short, I came away with a bronzer, lipstick and a free (HUGE!!) sample of their new fragrance.

The lipstick I got was from the 'True Hold Colour and Shine' collection and it's £17.50, a lot for lipstick yes, but not the most expensive! And I do think it's worth it. I got it in shade 103 Miami Pink and I love it! Here's a few pictures...

It looks really bright here but it's great because it's really buildable so you can wear it quite subtly or have it fairly bright...

I love the attention to detail with these products, like the little 'C' engraved in the packaging, and the inside of the case is the Clarins red, very cute!

The bronzer I got is the 'Poudre Soleil Compacte' or just plain Bronzing Powder! I got shade 20 Golden Sun, I love that it's got just a slight shimmer in it which makes your skin glow and look really healthy and it's not particularly orange toned. I love it too! Here's a couple pictures of the packaging etc..

At £25 it's not cheap either but it is a really good product and it also comes in this adorable little suede pouch with a button, a little gimicky? Yes maybe, but I'm a sucker for a gimick!

The next thing I got at Clarins was a free sample of their new Perfume, 'Eau des Jardins'. I say sample, you expect a small, couple ML spray, but no! It's huge sample, I think she called it a splash bottle or something but it's a whole 30mls! I mean, you pay good money for some 30ml perfumes, it's always worth asking for samples!

When I first smelt it I wasn't crazy about it, it was a little too 'fresh floral' for me, but I thought I'd try it that evening because perfumes can smell very different on skin after time, and luckily this is one of those perfumes! When it's been on the skin for an hour or so it smells a lot deeper (I don't have a clue how to describe fragrance, I'm making up my own lingo!) and less 'fresh floral'!!

I believe it's fairly natural, it says 'a treatment fragrance that combines essential oils and plant extracts' which is always a bonus. The actual fragrance description is 'Enjoy the fragrant thrill of a sparkling scent combination of grapefruit and orange zest. Let notes of rose and wood embrace you with their uplifting charm'... Maybe the rose is why I didn't like it at first, not a fan of rosey fragrances.

I then went to TK Maxx (love a bargain!) and found a really cute top! It was from the Mod Box section which is supposed to be the younger section and more up to date fashion wise! It's like a floaty silky-type material and it's a kind of burgandy colour. The front is covered in little bronze flat studs and the sleeves are all puffy and gathered :-) Anyway, enough rambling, this is it with the jeans I wore it with last night... I've also got some corally pink patent peep toe heels on but you can't see them.

Then it's got the black and bronze exposed zip down the back which I love. It's from a brand called Tokyo and it was only £12.99!

Now for a few pictures of the lipstick and bronzer on... I'm also wearing No.7 Mineral Perfection blusher in 10 Soft Damson :-)

I think that's finally everything! Hope you enjoyed this little haul :-)

OMG Shoes!

Hiyaa :-)
Basically, I've been looking for a couple pairs of shoes for a while, like basic shoedrobe staples that are good quality. Mum decided to leave my ballet pumps outside in torrential rain, rendering them un-wearable! Also, in this weather, my feet get a little cold in pumps or wet when it's raining! I've got a couple pairs of ankle boots which I could wear but the pair from Topshop are cream suede and completely flat so they're not particularly flattering, comfortable or practical (cream suede, need I say more?) so they're not ideal.

The other pair I have are from Miss Selfridge, they've got a very slight heel but they're an odd browny/beigey/greeny colour, and as they're suede they've scuffed easily and look a bit scruffy.
I've got plenty of sandals but obviously can't wear them now so I'm a bit stuck and have been searching EVERYWHERE online over the last few days. I was heading towards getting a pair of Kurt Geiger boots in the sale, but they were still a bit expensive, and as I wanted a couple pairs of shoes I was a bit reluctant to buy them... this is where the holy grail of online shoes shopping comes in...

It's called Shoeaholics.com and they sell Kurt Geiger, Carvela Kurt Geiger, some French Connection, a bit of Juicy Couture and loads more, for ridiculous prices. For example, the boots I've got my eye on are by KG Kurt Geiger and were £130, they're selling them for £29!!

There is a slight catch, most of, if not all the shoes I've seen are ex-display which for me, isn't a big issue, I mean, it's not like people take chunks out of display shoes or scribble on them with pens! If anything there could be a few scuffs possibly which is inevitable anyway so it's a price I'm willing to pay!

Standard delivery is also £5 which is more than usual so that's something to bear in mind but still, work it out and it's a saving of £96!!

I think it's amazing so I had to share it with you, will definitely be ordering something very soon. So, it's
WWW.SHOEAHOLICS.COM
Let me know what you think!

Cheeky Bit of Rabbit Blogging & Shameless Posing...

Today I gave my rabbit, Tiggy a spring (?) clean! And thought I'd take a few snap shots to share with you while she's all neat and tidy!

Camera shy...

She's cute :-) but she does bite...

Anyway, tonight my sister's home from uni so we're going for a meal and I thought I'd do a few webcam blatant posing pictures of my hair and makeup...

I don't think we'll be back late so I might do another post later. Also, my comment button doesn't work, if anyone can give me any help with that I'd appreciate it :-)

Beautiful Nails

Another nail post! Today, I finally got rid of my lovely nail art. I say finally, it wasn't that long ago but for someone who changes their nail polish daily it's a lifetime! I finished college early so I popped into Superdrug looking for the Andrea Fulerton Crystal Gemstones but got distracted by the Gosh Nail Glitter so I got that instead.
It took a while to decide between the silver and what was called ruby red but is actually pink! In the end I went for pink...

Here's my nails!

They're amazing! :-)

Hope you liked it

Makeup Storage

Helloo :-) at the moment I'm looking for some new makeup storage just to make mine a bit more organised and all together. At the moment I've got a drawer at the top of my chest of drawers which is just packed and so disorganised, I was thinking about getting a cutlery organiser to put in there, strange as it might sound! It works and no one would know!

I've also got a cream wire cake stand on my dressing table from Next which I use for all my everyday/nearly everyday/nice packaging makeup! On the bottom I put my jewellery in boxes and then the top is makeup.

Then there's a mirrored jewellery box for bits and bobs including hair grips and things like that. My gran got it for me but I think it's from M&S, I'm sure there's some similar there now. It's looking a bit dusty!

I just put my foundation on my dressing table in front of my mirror at the moment, along with my primer. And there's my brushes in a jar, some kind of jam I assume! I think it looks cute and it was free!

Then under my dressing table there's a hat box with all my straightners/curling tongs/spare dye etc in. It was in my parents room then I decided I needed a nice box for my hair things and borrowed it!

And basically I'm looking for some kind of storage unit to put it all in. I've found a nail polish rack which can be wall mounted from Amazon, so I can use that to put a few makeup bits in, if there's space! And there's also some brush holders from elf which I like but I kind of want it all in one place.
So if anyones got any suggestions or if you want to tell me how you store your makeup then send me a message on facebook or twitter!

Bag Envy

So, I've fallen well and truely head over heels in love. You know when you can't get someone out of your head and they're all you think about and you'd do anything for them? Yep, just like that.
If you haven't seen the Miu Miu Vitello Lux handbag, you haven't lived I'm afraid! It's beautiful, the right combination of casual and smart, sophisticated and fun. It's just amazing.

Just take a moment to appreciate it...
YUM
Anyway, the minor setback is the price, an eyewatering £895!! If I had this lieing around spare I wouldn't hesitate to order it right now, unfortunately, I'm only human, so I don't! For now I'll have to settle with it as the background to my phone (notsad notsad notsad)

I've also had my eye on these shoes... slightly more realistic!

They're from Miss KG by Kurt Geiger and they're only £40 which is good considering I've found the quality of Kurt Geiger/Miss KG to be really good, they last a looong time. So hopefully when payday pops it's little head up sometime soon I can make a nice little addition to my shoedrobe, until then, I'll survive.

Let me know what you think, seen anything similar??

What's In My Bag??

Hiyaa, right, anyone who doesn't follow either bloggers, youtubers or anything like that, then this will seem a bit odd. Anyway, 'What's in my bag?' is a tag, someone will film/write about it then pass it on to the next person, I love them, I love being nosy and sometimes you can actually tell a lot about a person from what they carry with them... or maybe I'm just nosy. Well, this is mine, the bag I took to college today and use most days, obviously took out receipts and stuff...

I loooove it, I use it like everyday. It's from Ted Baker in House of Fraser and it's beautiful :-) everyone deserves a treat every now and again!

Now this is what's in my bag, right!...

So,
Memory stick & keys: fairly straightforward! The keyrings are from Accessorize

Cowshed Moisturiser: this smells amazing! It's called Moody Cow and it says it smells like rose geranium, linden blossom & frankincense, basically lush

Lacoste Pour Femme Perfume: I love the smell of this too, it doesn't last very long and it was on offer when I bought it so it's the cheapest one to carry with me for top ups!

Model Mirror This is great, don't know how I survived without it! You can get them from www.feelunique.com cheaply, it's got a magnified mirror inside and little lights for when you're doing your makeup in the dark!

Starbucks Mints:I only got these because I went to Starbucks for lunch today, they make your mouth taste smokey afterwards, yuuuk

Hand Sanitiser:This one's foamy! It's cute and easier than washing your hands, I hate hand driers!

Rose & Co Lipbalm:This is the best lipbalm I've ever used and it smells soo nice, I got it from Boots for about £4 I think

Elnett Hairspray:It's the diamond hold one, medium sized and good for carrying on bad hair days...

Pencil Case:Is from Laura Ashley at WH Smith

First Class Stamps:From when I was in Birmingham and had to send my sister something in Cornwall, I only have them because there's no place for them in my room

Hotel Room Keys:Also from Birmingham, I just still have them in there!

Hairband & Grips:For emergencies...

Lipstick:Is Faux by MAC, I don't wear it everyday but if I fancy putting some lipstick on it's fairly neutral and goes with everything

Sunglasses Case:Only because I like to have them if I'm in the car, I definitely don't need them outside at the moment!

Water Bottle:I don't drink enough water so I'm trying to drink more cos it's good for my skin but I hate water! It's so boring, give me a bottle of full fat Coke anyday!

Diary:To try and keep me organised, it does not work

Makeup Bag:Just in case! From Ted Baker in Boots

Purse:Is from River Island, I like it because it's got so many compartments

Egyptian Coin:I used to keep this and the pebble in my purse but I keep finding them in the bottom of my bag, they're from my holiday to Egypt (obviously) last October and I like it as a nice reminder!

Pebble!:Haha, so random. It's from when I went to Spain and France with Poppy and I saw it on the beach and decided I wanted it, simple as!

Salt Sachets:I always have salt sachets on me! From Burger King and McDonalds, plenty of my friends will tell you they come in handy more often than you'd think

Twirl Wrappers:Because my lovely English Language teacher thinks a Friday is as good a reason for chocolate as any

English Literature Books:These are only in here if I have college, it's Thomas Hardy & William Blake poetry and John Fowles' The French Lieutenant's Woman, in case you were interested!

Hope you enjoyed a nosy through my handbag!

How Not To Shop For Shoes

Hi :-)
Tomorrow night I'm going out for my friends 18th and I was looking in town for something to wear and tried on a dress in New Look, but decided I didn't really need it (got home and decided that I do but there we go) so I thought I'd have a browse at the shoes because they're normally great and quite reasonably priced too so I did! I found the most amazing pair of shoes! Tried them on and they were fine, slightly high but no pain no gain! Still, I was very good and convinced myself I didn't need another pair of heels.

I went back to college and all I could think about was these shoes! You know when you don't buy something and you spend the rest of the next few days wishing you had, well I knew this would be one of those. As well as a couple friends convincing me I needed them in my life, this is very true. I then realised I didn't have time to get them so I tried to push them to the back of my mind and moved on with the English Language class, much more important...

I got home and thought I'd have a look online, because I can use someone elses student discount online, but then I thought I'll have to pay a fiver for next day delivery so it doesn't pay off. Anyway, I added it all up, the shoes are £24.99, next day delivery is £4.95 and student discount is currently 20% (get your arses down to New Look!!) Soo, I could order them online, have them tomorrow and not have to worry about being in town tomorrow morning, all for the same price I'd pay anyway!

Phew, that's a lot of shoe talk, after that grand build up, here they are!!

Aren't they beautiful?! I feel like a proud mother, they're literally glitter all over, some people might think they look tacky but I don't care, I think they're amazing and I'm not going to take them off ever again.
Let me know what you think!

Sadness...

Time for a sad story, have your Kleenex at the ready! Yesterday after my post about how much I loved my nails, I greedily cooked some roast potatoes (they were yummy, I will tell you my secret one day...) and carelessly opened the oven door, which resulted in this

So today I've been wandering around like a wally trying to hide my thumb and finger from anyone with any chance of seeing them. I was so annoyed with myself! Luckily, I'm all booked in to have them sorted tomorrow lunchtime so I can proudly display my fingernails for all to see!

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector- B.B Cream Review

Hi guys!
Today I caved and bought the new Garnier B.B Cream! Anyone who follows beauty blogs/youtubers will most likely have heard of this but for those who haven't it's basically a tinted moisturiser but lighter and I think it gives the coverage of a foundation. It's come from the Asian craze for their similar skincare products and there was so much hype surrounding it, especially online, and I can see why!
This is the packaging

It claims to 'even tone and boost glow, blur imperfections, smooth fine lines, hydrate for 24hrs' and it has SPF 15.
It definitely evened my skin tone and it really does make your skin glow and it looks really healthy and fresh! I don't really have 'fine lines' so can't comment on that! But it does leave your skin feeling really refreshed, light and so so smooth!
There are 2 shades, light or medium, it seems limited but I tested mine (medium) on 5 friends today, all ranging from pale to tanned skin, and it just blends with the colour of your skin so it doesn't matter!

It's £7.99 in Superdrug at the moment, I think the RRP is £9.99, and if you get student discount and your Beauty Card it's a bargain!
It also smells great, it's not fruity but kind of herbal and creamy if that makes sense!
The only negative thing for me is the fact it has SPF, for most people that's probably a good thing but at the moment the sun isn't at all strong so I don't want to go putting SPF on it otherwise I'll turn out like a ghost. It is handy for wearing it on holiday or in the summer though, and it certainly wouldn't stop me buying it.
Unfortunately the difference doesn't show up on camera so you'll just have to take my word for it, it really does work!
This is my hand before...

And this is it after...

So you can't really see it in the pictures but it really really is worth it!
It could be worn alone easily, it's enough coverage and still looks natural, it could be used as a base for a sheer foundation, a full coverage might be too heavy for it and defeats the object but it's up to you. I'd probably use it with my powder over the top.
Here, I've set it with Mac's Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Medium Plus

I'll definitely be using it at the moment, my skin's been a bit changeable over the last week or so, so I think a B.B cream will allow my skin to breathe better than a thick foundation to cover it up. Plus, Garnier claims that they've used natural ingredients where possible so that can only be good!
So, in conclusion: GO AND BUY IT
Really, it's only £8 at the moment, it performs better that a lot of 'drugstore' foundations, is cheaper and better for your skin, plus points all round!

Hope you've liked this, let me know what you think please!

My First Blog!

Hiyaa! So, this is my first blog, and it feels like it's been a long time coming! I'll be writing about anything related with hair, make up, clothing, perfumes, nail polish, shoes etc etc... So, as my first blog post I'm going to introduce you to my love of nail polish. I usually have acrylic nails on, just because my own nails are really weak (I know it makes it worse, catch 22!) and acrylics means they're nice and long and strong.
Today I got the inspiration from a girl called Melissa Rock on Twitter who did something similar. So, these are my nails

And close ups of my hands...

It's soo easy, I literally just used a cocktail stick/toothpick to do the designs and I love it :-) my favourite is the pink roses on my middle finger. It does take a lot of nail polish, luckily I've got a fairly substantial collection! Here's what I used...

Hope you liked this!
